Home-made healthy pizza

  • 1 small pizza base for each person, or a larger sized one for the whole family
  • Tinned chopped tomatoes
  • Grated cheddar or Edam (2oz (50g) per small pizza)
  • Selection of chopped vegetables- tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, sweetcorn, pepper (etc)
  • Tinned pineapple chunks Tuna, chopped lean ham or chicken, prawns
  • Mixed herbs/ black pepper


  1. Spread tinned tomatoes onto pizza bases and add chosen toppings.
  2. Sprinkle on grated cheese (try using reduced fat and see if anyone spots the difference), mixed herbs and pepper.
  3. Place straight on the oven shelf (so you get a crisps base) and cook on a medium heat for approx 15 minutes.
  4. Serve with salad if wanted.
